Both groups were very similar. This was an intensive group where we had plenty of enhancements and learnt alot...
During their stay they experienced a ride on the Steamtrain onto the bridge for Sundowners, followed by an African Extravaganza dinner at the Gwembe Village; a day trip to Chobe; River float down the Zambezi in rafts; Lunch and High Tea on the banks of the Zambezi River at the Thorntree Elephant Boma; a Surprise Elephant visit; a very special Mukuni Village visit where the children put on a fantastic show for the group, singing and dancing and as a surprise there was even an Acrobatic group who put on an excellent show for the bankers. The Commercial Bank was very generous and made a large donation to the Mukuni School in the form of Curriculum text books for all grades.
The Commercial bank arranged plenty of giveaways for their delegates which included refresher sets; chitenge shirts and sarongs; Hang Band CD's; water flasks;
The Gala Dinner was held at the Clay Pigeon Boma where lots of hard work was put in for enhancements which turned out absolutely spectacular. There was plenty of entertainment in the form of Fire Poi dancers to welcome guests out of the dark into the Boma, Acupella Singers during Cocktails, Hang Band during dinner and our local DJ, Jaime May made sure the group danced the night away into the early hours of the morning. Our caterers did an outstanding job with the delicious meal, and fantastic table set ups.
Before the groups departed they also took part in Heli flights of Angels with lunch out on the helipad. When the 2nd Wave's flight was delayed an African Princess lunch cruise was conjured up at very short notice and the group thoroughly enjoyed the surprise of ending their stay relaxing on a Cruise on the Zambezi River.
